ILAD is dedicated to advancing legal research and training in Africa by bringing together legal scholars with specializations in various areas of law to collaborate in legal research and training, thus demonstrating excellence and empowering individuals and institutions with the knowledge and skills to support the rule of law.

ILAD actively engages in legal outreach and advocacy initiatives to educate members of the public on fundamental legal principles and their rights and responsibilities under the law.
